The Respect Life Program of the San Francisco Archdiocesan Office of Public Policy and Social Concerns educates, advocates, and organizes around the topics of abortion, euthanasia & assisted suicide, stem cell research and cloning, bioethics, and the death penalty.
Each topic is approached in a holistic manner, by looking not only at the specific situation but at the broader picture of 'causes and effects' and working toward changing situations and promoting a culture of life at all levels.
The Respect Life Program works under the leadership of the USCCB Pro-Life Secretariat and the California Catholic Conference. The program offers resources to priests and religious, parishes, schools, religious education programs, anyone within the Archdiocese seeking to promote the culture of life, other organizations supporting the life issues, and service providers within the San Francisco Archdiocese.
