Fr. David Ghiorso- Director of Vocations

Father Dave Ghiorso is a native of San Francisco. He was raised in Visitacion Valley until his family moved to South San Francisco in his junior year of high school. Fr. Ghiorso graduated from St. Joseph Seminary High School, St. Patrick’s College Seminary, and St. Patrick’s Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 1981. He was appointed Director of Vocations and Seminarians in June 2011. 

 

Fr. Ghiorso has served as a deacon at St. Pius Parish in Redwood City, Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Loretto Parish, Associate Director and Executive Director of the Catholic Youth Organization, and he was Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Redwood City before becoming Pastor of St. Charles Parish in San Carlos in 2005, where he is now assigned. He concurrently serves as a member of the Priest Council, College of Consultors, Chair of the Building Committee, Board of Directors for the Real Property Support Corporation and is also on the Board of Regents for Serra High School.
