Change to Sunday, May 19, Schedule for launch of National Eucharistic Pilgrimage
Due to unforeseen circumstances, there is an updated schedule of events for the launch of the St. JunÃpero Serra Route of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage on Sunday, May 19.
The updated timeline is:
11:00 a.m.
- Mass at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in San Francisco
1:00 p.m.
- Archbishop Cordileone will exit the Cathedral and lead a Eucharistic procession with a select group including altar servers, men and women religious, and the Perpetual Pilgrims.
- General Mass attendees who will be walking across the Golden Gate Bridge with the Archbishop will board shuttle buses at the Cathedral that will take them to the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center
1:15 p.m.
- Those joining the procession from Crissy Field will begin their walk to the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center
2:00 p.m.
- Procession begins across the Golden Gate Bridge from the Welcome Center
3:00 p.m.
- Procession concludes with a blessing and benediction at H. Dana Bowers Rest Area & Vista Point
- Shuttles will then take pilgrims back to the Cathedral
*There is another event in the city that morning so please plan ahead if coming to Mass at 11:00 a.m.*
