Christmas Card Drive For Incarcerated Persons in the San Francisco County Jails
Help us spread Christmas joy this year through our Christmas Card Drive.
Donations of new, blank Christmas cards will be distributed to the men and women in the San Francisco jails so that they can mail them to loved ones. This can help the individuals to maintain relationships, which increases their support network. Each person will receive four cards to send.
While a variety of cards is accepted, please note that the cards:
- Should not include statements about the offering of a Mass (as is common on free cards for various organizations).
- Should not include any gemstones, sequins, or three-dimensional embellishments.
- Should not be hand-made. (There is a separate Cards of Mercy project for those who would like to send homemade cards.)
The men and women will also receive a snack along with the cards, as a special treat for them.
Donations of cards can be sent to the Archdiocese at the address below. Monetary donations for cards and treats are also accepted.
THE DEADLINE FOR DONATIONS IS DECEMBER 9, 2022.
