Satisfying Our Restless Hearts - A Professional Women’s Retreat

Are you happy, and is that even possible? This weekend retreat may be just what you’re looking for to help you in your journey as a professional Catholic Christian woman walking in this world. Based on the book Finding True Happiness by Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J., Ph.D., the retreat workshops will introduce the Four Levels of Happiness, which Fr. Spitzer based on classical thinkers, contemporary philosophers and modern psychologists.

Through guided reflection, you’ll discover new attitudes and engage in exercises designed to lead you into deeper insights about happiness, and a fuller awareness of your complex self - one that seeks truth, goodness, love, beauty, harmony, and even transcendence. In small groups, you’ll participate in simple but meaningful prayer experiences, discover your own God-given gifts of creativity, experience the healing power of the Sacraments, and learn more about becoming the woman God created you to be - and the beautiful life He has in store for you! This practical but powerful retreat will lead you into a new perspective of freedom and true satisfaction - proving that yes you CAN find true happiness.

The retreat will be held at El Retiro Jesuit Retreat Center in Los Altos with arrival between 4-5:30pm on Friday, August 16 and departure by 2pm on Sunday, August 18. The retreat center usually celebrates mass at 5pm on Friday, you are invited to attend. Cost will be $375, which includes all of the supplies, presentation of the retreat, six meals, a private room and bathroom for the two nights, and 38 sprawling acres to wander and reflect. It’s an incredible opportunity to “come away” but not too far away!
