TeenSTAR teacher training

TeenSTAR is a program to teach youth or young adults about sexuality, in a way that respects human dignity and the teachings of the Church.

We will host a live (in-person) teacher training on at St Pius parish in Redwood City.  Our instructor will be Deacon Santiago Molina, the Executive Director of TeenSTAR, who is a biology professor in Florida and NFP teacher trainer.

The training will be August 5 – 6, , 9:00am – 3:30pm both days. To keep the training weekend manageable, there will be 4 Zoom sessions ahead of time, Wed and Thurs evenings, July 19 and 20  and July 26 and 27.  These are part of the training curriculum. Each of the 4 sessions is scheduled for 6:00pm – 8:00pm (PT- Deacon is on Eastern Time).

The cost for the training is $200 for those in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, $300 for those outside.  Some limited scholarships are available; contact Ed Hopfner [email protected]
